CNY quota managementFAQ

To comply with Chinese regulations on cross-border funds transfer, Payoneer must collect and report details about your store transactions.

Your CNY quota is the total amount you're allowed to withdraw to a CNY bank account. It's based on the store transaction info we've received – across all currencies – from the past year. Any transaction info older than one year won't count toward your quota.

Your quota is shown in USD equivalent and may be higher or lower than your available funds, depending on the amount of transaction info we have.

Note: To meet the regulators' requirements, the entities, purposes, and amounts involved in your fund receipts and payments must match the corresponding transactions. If there are inconsistencies, we may ask for supporting documents – such as proof of store ownership, authorization letters, transaction history, or logistics records – to verify the source of funds.

If we're unable to receive the required data, we may not be able to continue providing payment services.

To avoid disruptions:

  • Make sure the entities involved in your payments match your transactions
  • Keep complete transaction records like contracts, invoices and logistics documents
  • Respond promptly to any review requests

Payoneer is integrated with the following marketplaces that we automatically receive transaction info from:

  • eBay
  • Shopee
  • Etsy
  • Lazada
  • Joom USA
  • Joom SIA
  • Wish
  • Ruten
  • JM Technologies
  • Tophatter
  • LLC Internet Projects

If you sell on these platforms and receive payouts from these platforms via Payoneer, you don't need to worry – we've got it covered.

There are two other ways to increase your quota:

  1. Connect your Amazon, Shopify, or Walmart stores
This allows us to automatically sync your transaction data and increase your quota accordingly. To connect stores, sign in to Payoneer and go to Manage > Store Manager.
  2. Upload transaction records manually
This is useful for marketplaces that aren't connected. Reviewing can take up to 2 hours and we'll email you once it's done.

Here's the list of supported marketplaces:

Note: For Amazon and Walmart, you can manually upload transaction records for stores that aren't connected, but it's faster and easier to connect your stores directly. For Shopify, you can connect your store only – manual upload of transaction records isn't available yet.

If you sell on a marketplace that's not currently supported, contact us and we'll look into adding it in the future.

  1. Sign in to your Payoneer account.
  2. Go to Manage > CNY quota management.
  3. Click the Upload transaction records tab.
  4. Download the CSV template.
  5. Fill in your transaction data using the step-by-step instructions provided.
  6. Upload the completed file.

We'll process your file and show the results in a table on the same page. If there are issues, we'll let you know what went wrong and which rows were accepted.

You'll also see the USD equivalent added to your quota. You can download the file to see the exchange rates used to calculate the quota added, along with the reasons for any rows not accepted.

Important: Only store order data from up to one year before the upload date can be used to increase your quota. Orders older than one year won't be counted toward your quota.

You can check the status of your upload on the CNY quota management page under the Upload transaction records tab. We'll also send you an email once your file has been reviewed.

Results files are available for download for 1 year.

If you have funds in your Payoneer balance but not enough quota, you won't be able to withdraw to a CNY bank account.

You can still withdraw funds to a non-CNY bank account or schedule a withdrawal for a later date when you expect to have available quota.

This delay may occur when you receive funds from marketplaces that are integrated with Payoneer, as mentioned in the question "How can I increase my CNY quota?", such as Amazon, Joom, Shopee, Shopify, Walmart, etc.

While your Payoneer balance is updated as soon as the funds arrive, quota updates for these integrated marketplaces may take a few days to complete due to integration delays with different marketplaces.
